Starting pay up to $12.00 per hour working for your family, friends, and neighbors being a Caregiver. You can have up to 5 clients at a time, and get paid from each client. You must work the hours and provide quality services. Ongoing supervision will occur by the Executive Director of this organization of all caregivers.

Effective June 1, 2015, Michigan caregivers are required to have social security taxes, FICA and Medicare taxes deducted from their payroll. It is essential that a Michigan form W-4 and Federal W-4 is completed. Michigan caregivers are not contractors, but actually employees to this Agency. Ongoing training in being self-reliant in advance technology and a responsible U.S. citizen is required as a VWCP employee with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Requirements: 

Caregiver must refer us a qualified client that is receiving Medicaid or VA Aid & Attendance Benefits and have a disability.

The client must be 60 years or older and/or an adult that is disabled.

Caregiver and client must complete the approval process through the MI Dept of Health and Human Services Adult Medical Services and/or VA EBenefits.

Caregiver must have a U.S. Bank account for direct deposit, complete an I-9 verification form, be fingerprint,  submit a police clearance, and pass a drug screening test from all recreational drugs rather it is legal or illegal. This is a drug-free workplace!

Caregiver must pass two interviews – one with this agency and a personal home inspection.

Caregiver must have a valid email address and a smartphone and/or tablet with Internet access.

Caregiver must be proficient in technology to track and submit timesheets via WhenIWork portal

Caregiver must possess a First Aid/ CPR certification and/ or a CNA or MA certification

Education and Training: 

On-going education and training will be required while working for this agency

Services provided may include: 

Light housekeeping, errands, shopping, grooming, meal preparation, bathing, toileting, medication reminder, and feeding

Benefits after 90 days:

A 3.5 % pay increase with an excellent performance evaluation
